Street Maintenance Worker Needed
The City of Moundridge is accepting applications for a street maintenance worker.
Duties include but are not limited to: construction, maintenance and repair of city owned streets and bridges. Requires operation of trucks and various road construction equipment, handling of fuel, oils, and chemicals. A background in equipment operation is preferred but not required. Willing to train the right candidate. This position is eligible for full insurance benefits and KPERS retirement. Must have safe work record and the ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions. CDL license with air brake rider or the ability to obtain is required. Driving record must meet the city’s insurance requirements. Minimum education requirement is high school diploma or equivalent. Starting pay $19/hour. Higher offers will be considered depending on qualifications. Post offer screening will include background check, physical exam, and drug test.

The dumpsters are being delivered today. You may access them starting Friday the 9th through the 12th. They are located parking lot south of the ballfields. We would like to remind you the dumpsters CANNOT be used for tires, Freon containing items or household hazardous waste as part of this clean-up. Those items should be taken directly by residents to the appropriate MASWU facilities. We would also ask that you DO NOT remove items once they are placed inside the containers. For the last couple of years, we’ve had problems with items and debris being left around the parking area. We almost lost this privilege due to the mess. Let’s do better this year!
