Certified Class 2 Water Operator

The City of Moundridge is seeking a dedicated and skilled Kansas Certified Clas 2 Water Operator to join our team! This position offers an exciting opportunity to help maintain and operate our water system, provide vital services to our community, and contribute to the growth of Moundridge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repairing water leaks and installing water lines

• Conducting regular maintenance and meter readings

• Operating equipment such as loaders, skid steers, backhoes, and dump trucks

• Installing natural gas mains and services 

• Assisting with large electric projects and outages 

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of experience in related field 

• Current Class B CDL

• Must live within 45 minutes of Moundridge, KS city limits

• Kansas Certified Class 2 Water Operator (or able to obtain)

The City of Moundridge operates and maintains seven water wells and serves approximately 900 customers, including several large industrial businesses. We also provide water to Marion #4 Rural Water District. All required protective clothing is provided and health insurance and KPERs retirement benefits are available.
