We would like to remind everyone that parking vehicles facing oncoming traffic is both unsafe and illegal.
According to Kansas Statute 8-1572, vehicles must be parked with the right-hand wheels parallel to and within twelve inches of the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway.
This regulation is also enforced locally under Moundridge’s adoption of the Standard Traffic Ordinance.
Parking against the flow of traffic can create hazards for other drivers and may result in citations. Please ensure your vehicle is parked in the correct direction to keep our streets safe for everyone.
