Court Schedule

Municipal Court meets the second Wednesday of every month at 4:00 PM. Failure to appear on time could result in your Driver's License being suspended or a Bench Warrant being issued for Failure to Appear.


Appearing for Court

Moundridge Municipal Court is currently held in the Police Department Building located at 220 S Christian Ave. The Municipal Judge, City Prosecutor, Court Clerk, and Moundridge Police Officers may in attendance. There will be times when the prosecutor/police officer will not be in attendance due to scheduling conflicts. When you appear in Court you will be required to obey the following rules:

-    Address the court and attendees in a respectful manner.

-    Please remove any hats or caps upon entering the Courtroom.

-    Appropriate clothing and shoes must be worn.

-    Cell phones and pagers must be turned off or put on silent/vibrate.

-    Food/drink is not allowed in the Courtroom.

-    Masks may be required.


Payments

There are some citations that do not require you to appear in court if the total is paid prior to your court date. Please sign the back of your citation, as well as mark a plea. **You may mail in this citation, along with your payment, however, if this is not received prior to your court date, you could be held in contempt for failure to appear.

There are several options for paying a ticket or fine. Those that do not require a court appearance can be paid in person at the City Office, by mail or via our drop box. Cash, check, money order, and credit cards are acceptable forms of payment. Payment arrangements are also an available option, however, you must contact the Municipal Court Clerk before your scheduled court date to set this up.

Drop box: Located just inside the front door of the City Building located at 225 S Christian Ave.

Lobby and Drive-Thru: Lobby hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Payments can be made at the window located across the hall from the council/court room. You may pay your fines/fees to the court clerk at the time of appearance if you have a check, or exact cash (no change will be given) and a receipt isn't needed.

By Phone: Call (620) 345-8246 during regular business hours. Most credit cards accepted. A service fee of 2.5% will be added to the total amount paid.

**All notices to appear will be mailed to the last known address. If you have an open case, keeping your address current with the court is critical. If a notice to appear cannot be delivered by the Post Office because you have not kept your address current, a warrant may be issued. You may change your address by contacting the court in person, calling (620) 345-8246 or emailing court@moundridge.com.**
